One year NO 45s to use in my gym, 35s 10s 5s 2.5s and chains ONLY
Keep in mind many of my clients I have had consistently for 10-20 years, and have become more like “family” than a Coach
Be a good role model.
Just because you can afford something, have whatever you want, doesn’t mean you should.
For the young adults in my life, I tried my best to put myself in position as most people = limited dispensable money for a gym, limited gym equipment availability, and buy equipment for others to use, share, or resale. I have too many young adults, most of which have more money than God, watching how I conduct myself.
I feel it would be selfish of me to have a gym when others didn’t have one, or access to one,
I feel like putting equipment in other people’s hands, which I did for free or a profit depending who they were, was a priority as a Coach
The fitness role models that install the mentality that you “need” a gym, “need” certain equipment, “need” to this that and live like the rich and famous, are more a “fantasy” than “reality”
I think I have done all I can in last 20 months to be a role model to the young adults in my real and virtual life. If the many lessons I wanted to teach, working out with NO 45s, and not buying things when I could really tested my character, it was worth it teaching these “kids” that you can live with “less” and “challenge “ yourself, even if you have the power 💰, the journey is more rewarding the hard way 😎
Thank God this Journey is almost over = my new year resolution 🔥💪
