Safety Squat Bar REP Fitness Unboxing First Look Review Rust Barbell
Unfortunately, many of the Safety squat bars that REP Fitness sold us had rust on the chrome sleeves. 3 barbells in total had rust. Considering this is a newly released product, its quite concerning how fast oxidation took place on these SSB barbells.
Aside from the quality control issues, which I’m sure REP will sort out, I feel this Safety Squat bar SSB from REP Fitness is the best one on the market for most people.
The padding is just right.
Angle of the bar is just right.
Knurled handles that are just right.
Price = when factoring in price amongst the available safety Squat bars on the market, the REP provides not only one of the cheapest bars, but the best overall features.
If you have been using safety squat bars for decades as I and many of my clients have, the REP SSB will give you a pleasant surprise in just enough padding, right angle, knurled handles that don’t slip, and priced below what you would think a bar like this would go for when compared to its competition, for example in Canada, a Rogue Fitness SSB may cost you almost double, $500 is for the REP Vs. $900 ish for the Rogue.
